2 0 1 0 - A wedding year in review!
My decision to start to work with weddings is the best decision I have made in my life. I just can't get enough of beautiful things, wonderful stories and a lot of love and at the same time be able to be creative. This is some of my favorite wedding photos from the past year.
The year 2010 was a great year for my business! Not only because I booked a lot of weddings, but also because I developed as a person. I have been able to travel a lot and meet new fantastic clients. It's hard to explain how some wedding clients turn out to be friends and how important they are for my creativity. I'm thankful for having the best wedding clients ever because they understand my vision as an artist. They make me grow.
In the beginning of the year I was interview about my business by Benny Ottosson, click here to see the video if you have not seen it yet. I have also done a few more interviews, one for the magazine Kamera & Bild, but also for Gazet.se and Lighting for Photo. I have also been honoured to have my work featured on several American wedding sites.
In March I went to WPPI (Wedding & Portratis Photographers International) with my colleague Lieselotte van der Meijs. Worlds biggest convention for wedding photographers took place in Las Vegas and I was happy to start the wedding season with a lot of new inspiration. The entire trip to the States was amazing and hopefully I will go next year again!
In May I went to France and Italy and worked with some different reportages with the journalist Evelyn Pesikan. They will all be published in the Swedish magazines Lantliv, RES and Svenska Dagbladet. In many ways this trip was developing. Just the scenario that I was forced to drive a car on very small roads in the Italian mountains made me felt proud of myself when I got back home.
In June I went to Austria and Vienna for a big wedding. I'm honoured to have clients that loves my photography so much that they are willing to flew me to another country. Then the summer season started for real. I have done a lot of weddings in Stockholm but also some fantastic ones in Skåne and in Varberg. Ana Gabriela and Christian, Sophia and Henrik - a lot of love to you!
One of the best things that happen this year was that weddingphotographers.se developed to be a network with six Swedish wedding photographers. To be a part of this network means a lot to me. Alicia Swedenborg, Jenny Hammar, Linda Broström Cabrera, Lieselotte van der Meijs and Anna Roström are amazing people and great photographers.
During the autumn I have been working a lot with some magazines and with business shoots. I'm happy that I have been able to work with one of the worlds biggest companies - Microsoft. At the moment I'm working with a new website and the site will show more of me as a photographer, not only focusing on weddings.
Thanks to all my clients and colleagues for a great 2010! And thanks to all of you who are supporting me and following my work on Facebook!
