Stockholm wedding at Winterviken

I really like when I can see my own town with new eyes. And being Camilla and Dan's wedding photographer really gave me so much inspiration. Their energy and good taste when it came to everything made me leave their weddng evening filled with warmth. We started the day at Radisson Blu Waterfront hotel in central Stockholm and photographed the wedding portaits in the city hall. Their beautiful venue is one of the best we have in Stockholm, the old dynamite factory Winterviken.

Also, I can finally announce that I will host a wedding photography workshop in Sweden this year! Stay tune for more info. Only 15 seats are available.

After 19 years as close friends

I'm in love with Josefin & Marcus love story. It gives me so much hope of love, how unpredictable the force is when you wake up and it hits you. Josefin & Marcus were very close friends for 19 years, but then something happend when Marcus moved to Canada and they realized how much they missed each other. Now it's a part of a beautiful love story. I photographed their wedding at Winterviken in Stockholm in late January. Winterviken is Alfred Nobel's old dynamite factory.

Josefin collected brooches for a year and made this unique bouquet. How cool? I'm so impressed. She even found a "M" for Marcus.

Art deco inspired wedding

Juliana & Erik got married in Åre in the beginning of the year. A few weeks later they got dressed up again when they hired me for the wedding portraits in Stockholm. We spend a few hours out in the cold at Winterviken.

Based in Uppsala Juliana is also working as a photographer. For about 10 years ago I worked for a short while with her at a photo lab in the same town. We have not been in contact since then so I got very happy last summer when she sent me an email about her wedding. I really love the art deco inspired wedding dress and I'm so curious about all the DIY details they had at their wedding day in Åre.

But finally I got a reminder of how beautiful Vinterviken was when I last photographed the decor for an amazing wedding with a Moulin Rouge theme held in their big hall.

To enter Alfred Nobels old sulfur factory with just a one table, a wooden floor, 10 meters to the celling and an amazing light coming through the windows is magical. I was praying for a sunny weather and when the bridal couple arrived one hour late I bet I was trigger happy. I can't even remember the last time I shot so many photos in such a short time. I felt like some kind of autopilot was turned on and I didn't have the time make any reflections during the session - I was just shooting.

After the portrait session the ceremony and the reception was held in Södertälje.

Perkian and Elias, thanks for trusting my ideas! For sitting on a dirty floor and for being outdoors despite a cold winter weather. It was so much fun to photograph you!
